“Be the Beat” Colleton County

Genesis Healthcare, in partnership with The American Heart Association (AHA), provided CPR training kits to the Colleton County School District. The kits are part of the AHA’s “Be the Beat” program, reaching out to local organizations and bringing awareness to the importance of CPR training in our communities and workplaces.

Genesis Healthcare is a nonprofit FQHC (Federally Qualified Health Center) healthcare provider with locations in Darlington, Olanta, Florence, Lamar, Walterboro, and Goose Creek. We are deeply rooted in these communities and committed to improving their health through prevention, early intervention, rehabilitation, training, and education.

The American Heart Association is committed to creating the Next Generation of Heartsavers™ through their “Be the Beat” Hands-Only CPR programs. “Be the Beat” provides free resource tools to help start and sustain Hands-Only CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training programs in communities so that one or more people in each household knows this lifesaving skill.

“Be the Beat” the Boys & Girls Club

As an American Heart Association (AHA) “Be the Beat” sponsor, Genesis presented 2 CPR kits to the Boys & Girls Clubs Of The Pee Dee Area so their staff can train members of their organization. We gladly support the AHA in achieving their goal of having one person in each home trained to administer CPR. A special thanks to the Boys & Girls Clubs in North Florence!
