Genesis Supports Bark in the Park

Happy fall, friends! It’s Howard Nettles, Genesis’ director of community outreach.

There’s no better way to start your season than an autumn stroll with your furry friend! 🐶 🍁 Join Genesis for our Bark in the Park event on Saturday, Oct. 15, from 8:30-11 a.m. at Williamson Park.

The event is free to the public, but donations will benefit Williamson Park and the Darlington Humane Society.

Those interested in supporting are encouraged to complete our Bark in the Park interest form. Please contact me directly with any questions at howardn@genesisfqhc.org.

Genesis Healthcare Presents Check to Town of Olanta

Genesis Healthcare and Dr. Priscilla Welch, Chief Medical Director of Olanta Family Care, were excited to provide funds to the Town of Olanta to install security cameras throughout the town. These cameras will provide much-needed coverage and offer an additional level of security to the town’s people and businesses. It’s an honor to collaborate with our community to make a difference together!

Genesis Celebrates National Health Center Week

That’s a wrap on National Health Center Week! We celebrated this week with a community toiletry drive for several homeless shelters across the Pee Dee, Midlands and Lowcountry regions, tokens of appreciation to our patients and board of directors, t-shirts for our staff and a celebratory breakfast in our each of our offices. We are so grateful for the commitment and generosity of our staff, patients, stakeholders and community members who make up our Genesis Family. Because of you, we are able to make a difference in our community. 💙

Genesis Heads Back to School in Walterboro & Olanta!

It’s back-to-school time in South Carolina and Genesis Healthcare is honored to help prepare our communities for the year!

In Walterboro, the event was held Saturday, August 6th at the Colleton County High School. We gave out 350 backpacks with supplies and COVID self-test kits. Joining us as partners for our booth were USC – Salkehatchie staff members, Haley Rowe and Brandon Wright.

Our Olanta event was held Thursday July 21st and we were able to give out 250 backpacks and COVID self-test kits to attendees. In partnership with Harvest Hope, we also gave out over 150 bags of food. A special thanks to The Lions Club of Olanta who joined us as well and assisted in giving out supplies and food.
